Gaby and Andy played to a packed house on both Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October 2007. The enthusiastic crowd were delighted with the evenings presentation, and treated to a rare display of orchestral and world percussion played in an outstanding combination of both rhythm and style.

Band

They were joined by friend and colleague Andy Green (Manchester) on keys.  The trio worked in tight collaboration to present passages of totally improvised music, some of which will be released on dvd soon.

Also joining Gaby and Andy were local musicians Andy Wilson (lead guitar) and Jonny Colquhoun (bass). Joanne Henshaw, good friend and recent graduate of LIPA danced to “Mary’s song”.

Andy sang some of their own compositions from their album At Last, and presented some of their new material which is ready for their new album expected out in the New Year.

Gabriel, professor of percussion and internationally recognised performer dealt a hefty blow to mediocrity, showing his skill to the full.

Messages and cards have been flooding in since the event with thanks from locals who appreciated a good quality evening of music, and also from those who travelled for the event to say it was well worth the journey.
